Compartmentation Surveys

Compartmentation survey details each compartmentation breach, hole, and imperfection identified with suggested repair detail. As well as any obvious fire hazards or risks.

Fire Rated Partitions & Ceilings

Fire-resistant walls that partition buildings and enclose compartments must provide a barrier to stop fire travelling from one side to the other. In workspaces, Building Regulations require a 30-minute fire-resistance rating.

Fire Protective Boarding & Encasement of Steel Columns & Beams

A fire in a steel-framed building could be catastrophic. Therefore steel protection is essential to protect the main structural components of a building from collapse or damage in the event of a fire. By protecting key structural elements, steel encasement can prevent building collapse and save lives.

Fire Barriers

Fire barriers are used to slow the spread of fire within a building by closing concealed spaces. By providing a reliable barrier that can contain fire within its compartment, it can provide the occupants with significantly more time to evacuate and emergency services more time to control the situation. It is of utmost importance that building managers and contractors invest in these essential safety measures to help ensure the safety of their tenants and employees.

Air Sealing

For any passive fire protection system, air leakage can compromise it’s effectiveness, as it's a huge contributing factor of the spread of fire and smoke, allowing it to penetrate through services and spread throughout a building. Sealing those gaps, not only protects against the spread of smoke and fire, it also contributes to a more energy efficient building, saving you money and protecting your assets.

Intumescent Paint to Steelwork

Intumescent paint is a cost-effective and ideal solution to protect structural steel from the damage caused by fire.  It can take just a few minutes for unprotected steelwork in a building to reach temperatures of around 550ºC in a fire. At this temperature, steelwork loses its load-bearing ability causing premature collapse. Therefore give very little time for people to evacuate and even less time for the fire service to bring the fire under control. Intumescent coatings are designed to react to heat by expanding and creating a charred insulating layer around the substrate to protect the steel.

Building regulations and legislation demand fire protection to upgrade the fire resistance of buildings.
